Question about Article Directories

I know that search engines punish duplicate content, so when you submit to article directories, are you writing original content, or are you just using stuff that you had already written for some of your websites? I want to start writing some articles for my design homepage, and I didn't know if I should be submitting those to directories, or if I should be writing original stuff for them.

When you submit your article to two or more directories and also include the same on your site, search engines will consider them duplicate content. This is what I think and in actual the things may be different. If someone here have better knowledge please do share.

    Thanks

It seems the first one spidered is the one that shows up in the rankings. So if you want to post articles that are on your site to directories, make sure they are spidered first before giving them away.

Your best bet is to change up your article a bit and submit it to the top 3 or 4 directories.

Do not submit any content you put on your own site anywhere else. Write separate content for off site submissions.

I think the main reason is to get benefited from the traffic on that directory. When you publish your article there, traffic on directory will see it and eventually your sites in signature will get promoted.
Some people write articles to just promote their services/product and sites. They outline articles in such way that their site/product comes into the body of article so that they can get maximum results.

What I believe is that article directories are meant for you to submit articles. I agree that the articles that you submit must be a unique article and avoid copying articles from your website or do not copy your website content and make it your article. Try to keep that unique

For example for this particular website

    www.kotaksecurities.com

and there is this article that I submitted on ezine articles

    http://ezinearticles.com/?Stock-Trading-And-Stock-Broker-As-A-Career-To-Look-Forward&id=866242

These are 2 different content posted.

Share if you have different views

The content needs to be different....................I have read somewhere I am not sure whether it is right or wrong but a good difference of 50 to 60% change in the content is what google is looking at for it to be treated as unique content

If you submit your article (that would be separate and unique, not from your own website) in the right relevant category, there would be NO problem from search engines.

A useful and interesting article always wins

Unique is king. You'll be giving you site a massive boost for each unique article you submit to these article sites.

The Dynamic Blue Link-Building Program does this job for you. Writes an article for you, and makes a unique version of the article which is then submitted to over 500 articles sites. All are manually reviewed for quality.

Link on the sig if you're interested.
