With affiliate programs you get commissions by referring visitors to a merchant's website. They need to take an action, e.g. buy a product, fill out a survey, etc. For example you choose a product to promote from one of the affiliate networks, create a website with reviews and information about that product and if a visitor clicks on one of your links and buys that product from the merchant, you get a commission, which can be 30-40% of the price in some case. You join CPA ( clickbooth, Advibrance, Copeac) and promote them...(ask people) to sign up and you will get paid. It;s very simple than you join an affiliate where you have to sell products to get comission.
It's all very good joining various affiliate programs but you need to know how to market them. If you don't know how to advertise then you will need to be taught. Otherwise you will not make any money. Jason
jasonb25 is right. before you go nuts and join affiliate networks work out which niches or sectors you plan to focus on. you have to remember merchant affiliate programs may close, get suspended, have tracking problems and you need to keep track of whats happening as you need to respond to those events. i got into affiliate marketing back in the late 90's early 2000's and very quickly learnt that its good to have a main system to manage links from so at the click of a button you can deactivate or change merchants without having to change 100's of links on your site.
As mentioned above, moreniche is a good site to sign up with because they have a great bunch of guides and basic tools for learning about affiliate marketing. These tools, in my opinion, are alone worth the signup Once you learn more about affiliate marketing, you need to decide what your niche(s) will be. Then you check out the various affiliates to see which ones have products you want to promote.
