Question about affiliate links

    I know that posting affiliate links isn't allowed, but what about the URL of the affiliate without actually linking?

    For example I could link to google.com, but I could also just post the URL of google.com. If the latter had an affiliate link, could I get in trouble?

    You will get an infraction anytime you put an affiliate link in your post if a mod sees it, I know personally because I got one before I knew the rule.

    Affiliate links are only allowed in your signature.

    Rules are rules. Even the latter isn't a live link, you still posted an affiliate link.
