Question About Affiliate Fraud

    Hi all,

I'm an affiliate, but I'm also a merchant running a successful retail website. We have a Share-A-Sale affiliate who joined us recently and began getting some quick sales.

For any affiliate who's ever made a sale for us, the Page Banner Was Clicked From field shows us the exact affiliate page that someone used to arrive on our site and buy something. But for this one new affiliate, that field is blank for every single one of his sales.

Does this seem suspicious to you guys? I've heard lots of ways people can ping our "thank you" page to generate bogus commissions, and I just want to be sure this wasn't happening.

For some of the sales, the "period of time between click and sale" is about a day. I know I'm giving a 45-day cookie, but was just wondering if that meant anything.

If you were me, what types of things would you look for to prevent fraud? I'm pretty new to this end of it, and need to realize what I'm dealing with.

    Thanks in advance!
