Question about AdWords and VAT...?

    Hi,

    I registered for Google AdWords as a Business customer. I have just changed from post pay billing to monthly invoicing. On my first monthly invoice the invoice states that VAT payment is 0.00. Meaning that being registered as a business customer Google does NOT charge the business account VAT. I did not enter a VAT number when signing up and am not VAT registered.

    Does this now mean I have to myself pay VAT for however long I have been using AdWords?

    Has anyone else had a similar situation?

    This is how I understand it.

    You only register for, and start paying, VAT once your business starts earning a certain amount. I don't know exactly how much it is that you must earn. Have a look on the HM Revenue and Customs site.
