Hello guys, I recently purchase a website and I have had an adsense account for a long time but haven't use it for a while. I use it like 6 months ago for a social book mark website I bought and resold. I was only getting like 4 or 5 clicks a week. Now when my new website I am getting around 50-75 clicks a day. My question is I am getting real low cost per click revenue. Does google keep it low for a while to see if I am a real account and not messing around. Or is it just base off the company that is showing the ad. The guy who I bought this from ask me if my adsense account was new and said if it was I would get low cpc. I never heard of that , so wanted your guys opinion.
"The guy who I bought this from ask me if my adsense account was new and said if it was I would get low cpc. I never heard of that , so wanted your guys opinion." I've never heard of it before... Have you researched the net to find out about it? I don't think this is true, why would G do that? :S
There is a thing called smart pricing which you can read about online regarding adsense, but the exact workings are unknown. No usually if you get low cpc it means there are not much advertizers competition for your topic and/or your visitors' geographical location.
Yes, if you take a look around there are what people call "high paying keywords". Basically keywords related to topics that paying well. Also I think that it is possible that new ads on a site will have low cpc and when you generate good amount of real clicks than Google may push higher paying keywords to show. But this is only my opinion of possible answer.
Thanks for that info. I hope that is what google is doing. Because He was making $800 a month with adsense and I am on track to make $300 a month.
you can do use adsense bcoz google will see thet u r very old adsense customer of it,then google will give you a preferences.also u can see about the smart prices data base from ther u will get more informations.
If he was making $800 and you only $300 from the same website, then probably he took you for a ride. But you should ask him what settings he used in his Adsense account. What ad categories he blocked and what kind of ads (size and image, text or media etc.) he displayed among others. That might make a difference in earnings.
