Anyone have an idea of how active they are? Obviously they can't look at every single site using adsense, probably not even 50%, but what is their job other than complaints and customer service? Do they go around looking at sites randomly, or just when their little light goes off cause some newbie quadruple clicks their own ad? I've seen adsense on some sites that 'violate' the TOS in many ways, that belongs in the guidelines area I know, but it brings up the question of how active they really are. I realize theres certain red flags like 100-500 click spikes and same-ip clicking, but other than that, do they personally monitor websites? Cheers
I think it really has to do with how well your site is doing. If you start getting a lot of traffic or clicks I am sure they take there time to look at it.
Do you have any idea on ballpark figures? I have some stats here for my personal use. 1,199 page impressions 12 clicks $6.20 revenue This is my all-time statistics. I have several pages that use adsense, 1 of them is slightly older and generated only unique visits, and 1 of them I created yesterday and generates clicks (and about equal visitors). Say I reach 36 clicks in about 5 hours, would this redflag the adsense team? Cheers
Hello Guys , I know a guy that was gaining between 150-200$ each month and after that he got 9000$ using MFA websites and he had no problem .
Its no way to find out how active they are. Most of the TOS breaking is found by their siftware anyway, the detect "click here" text near ads and so on.
They just care about the validity of the clicks! If YOU don't click on your OWN ads then you won't have any problems with them. If your traffic increases or you get more clicks suddenly, then they will check your site, if real visitors clicked on your ads, then it's ok
I am sure Google uses triggers to determine when somebody is really screwing with the rules. Also, they rely on reports from Web surfers in regards to TOS-breaking.
When i was being interviewed by a member of the Adsense team for the Success Story I asked (almost) this same question. The interviewer was very careful not to give away very much information, but I learned that most of the process is automated right up until actually pressing the ban-button. He indicated that every site/case is reviewed by a human before being banned and they take all bans very seriously.
