I bought the student edition of Adobe CS3 design premium, since i'm a student, and had to sign a piece of paper before i could use it saying that i would not use the product for commercial gain.
I was just wondering how they enforce this? How does Adobe know whether i have used their student edition of dreamweaver, for example, to build a website?

Was it an actual piece of paper that came with it?
Maybe you have to send it back or fax it to them... That is something I've never heard of.

yes it was a piece of paper which came with it and i had to fill it out with proof that i'm a student and fax it back to them and then they emailed me the serial code so that i could use it. i couldnt install the software without the serial code.

Perhaps there in a different format? or there were code numbers somewhere on the paper that you sent?
