Question about adding Youtube videos to Wordpress.

Hi,

I have a music blog which is also on my own server that I'm starting back to work on and I want to be able to add videos (Youtube) to my wordpress blog in the most simple and easiest way possible.

Now so far I've come across these following to go by:

1) Download each youtube video and simply upload the FLV's to my server and use a video-plugin to show these videos. Now this one takes time but is it really the best route to take?

2) Upload my own videos to youtube and simply just grab the Youtube embed code and just simply add them to my wordpress blog. Now this one seem much easier for me but I'm not sure if it's the best route.

So far I've come up with these 2 methods but I need to pick the one that will get me the MOST traffic and also keep me good with the search engines and also get my blog in the search engines faster. Also if there is another method I could use please share.

You use the Youtube videos to keep your users on the site, isn't it? In this case, any of two methods will work.

 

Have you thought about creating your own youtube videos and linking back to your site?

 

Also when you do that make sure you have your money site's url in the description field

 

You can use your own videos that you upload to youtube so you will in effect promote each other (youtube video and blog).

 

search for easy tube or wordpress youtube plugins - there's so many...

 

Let You Tube host the videos.
