I heard that from add-on domains I could make, for example, www.rats.com/hamsters into www.hamsters.com. Let's say I want to pursue other websites and I purchase 3 domains, I also want them all to be on the same host so I don't have to pay additional hosting costs. Let's say the three domains were www.rats.com, www.hamsters.com, and www.mice.com Well, www.hamsters.com is the same as www.rats.com/hamsters and www.mice.com is the same as www.rats.com/mice. Let's say I lose interest in the www.rats.com domain and it expires, but I am very interested in www.hamsters.com and www.mice.com, what exactly would happen to the www.rats.com/hamsters and the www.rats.com/mice folders? This is what the public_html folder would look like: public_html -hamsters(www.hamsters.com) -mice(www.mice.com) -index.html(www.rats.com)
It is only the domain name "rats.com" that has expired and not the hosting account, so your "hamsters.com" and "mice.com" sites will be fine. Just make sure that the domain names are pointing directly to the folders on the server and are not re-directs to rats.com/mice/ or rats.com/hamsters/ (If your hosting provider won't allow this then consider changing). How would I log into cpanel? www.rats.com has already expired, so www.rats.com/cpanel wouldn't function.
