Question about a CPM ad network rates.

    Hello,

I'm looking to buy a site that averages 2.5M page views a month and so my question is, realistically how much money per month can I make, if I monetize those page views using a CPM ad network?!

What are the current CPM rates? Who would you recommend as a good, high-paying CPM ad network?

    Please advise!

    Thanks.

P.S. If I have say three ads on the site does the ad network pay CPM for each of those ads or are they counted as one? If they are counted as one, can I use three different ad networks to monetize the three ads?!

Its depend on how much is the cpm company pay.
Other than that, the cpm rate is highly depend on which traffic is the visitor come from.
If it from US,then the cpm is high.
I can only suggest you using adsense.

Sometimes CPM networks will pay you more if their ads convert. CPX interactive pays me $0.15 per 1000 impressions and UnderdogMedia pays around $0.20. You can also do popups...those usually pay over $1 per 1000 impressions.

@ netpox: Thanks man! Do you know how much Casale media pays and if they're any good?!

Also, what is the difference between a pop-up and pop-under ad?!

    Thanks!

A banner ad is a graphical promotion used on websites as a form of advertisement. Banner ads can come in any size you want, however the accepted standard is 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high. Due to the widespread acceptance of this size, the same banner ad can be used on most websites without having to reconfigure the size and layout. Although banner ads can be used to advertise your phone number, address, or anything else you like, the real purpose behind banner ads is to get someone to click on it and jump to your website.

There is a great deal of controversy about the effectiveness of banners. Some people swear by them, others swear at them, saying they don’t work worth a darn. Although click-through rates have gone consistently downward, the same can be said of banner ad prices. The average click-through rate hovers somewhere around 0.5% range for banner ads. But, with a good banner design and placement it is still possible to achieve a good return on investment, by combining below-average ad rates and above-average response rates.[IMG]

The cpm is dependant on the agency, and what the niche is. I run an arcade and i get around $0.20 cpm but i know people getting $0.60 for better niches. The higher agencies like tribal fusion are hard to get into and pay alot more than say value click media who im with. With 2.5 mil youll get in easy to tribal fusion.

They pay for all 3 ads on one page load so in theory you only need 333 page views to get paid the cpm.

I suggest joining an agency and putting a link underneath to buy ads from you directly, at 2.5mil the adveritsers may just pay what they pay the agencies meaning youll probably get double what tribal will pay you.
