    Hi,

Advice please on how best to write keyword product titles for various product description.

My ecommerce site sells men’s underwear and some branded product styles can be searched for in various ways.

    For example, some customers may search for the same pair of Calvin Klein Cotton Prostretch Boxers in the following way;

    • Calvin Klein Prostretch Boxer

    • Calvin Klein Prostretch Boxer Short

    • Calvin Klein Prostretch Boxer Brief
      Calvin Klein Prostretch Trunk

    • Calvin Klein Prostretch Hipster

As you can see the common denominator is “Calvin Klein Prostretch”
What is the best way to write my product title in order to capture all of these possible search queries?

For example, could I write them in the following ways?

    • Calvin Klein Prostretch (Boxer Short, Hipster, Trunk)

    • Calvin Klein Prostretch Boxer Short, Hipster, Trunk, Boxer Brief

    • Calvin Klein Prostretch|Boxer Short|Hipster|Trunk|Boxer Brief

I would appreciate any advice regarding this.

    Thanks

I would recommend you create a 'category' page called "Calvin Klein Prostretch" and optimized for that exact keyprhase.

Then, on each of your product pages, I would have the product name first, with calvin klein prostretch second. Such as
    "Boxer Short, Calvin Klein Prostretch"
    "Boxer Brief, Calvin Klein Prostretch"

That way, the first 25 characters of all of your pages aren't exactly the same.

I Always recommend staying away form keyword stuffing...even in title tags. Google will rank the best web page for a keyword search. You should keep your users in mind when writing title tags. Use "Buy" or "Large Selection of". The more surfers that click on your listing (CTR) the higher the site will rank. Also, your brand is important, use it. I

    Suggest
"Brand Name | Buy Calvin Klein Prostretch Boxers"

Use the description tag and content within the product page to hit long tail. Also, if you stuff keywords in the title and the keywords are not on the page......This is bad.

Jimbob1208's Suggestion is a good one. However, you do not want your site map to get out of hand. I suggest building pages for your top level keywords, and using a longtail keyword approach within each page.

    Good luck,
