Hello Friends, I have a personnal account in paypal which is verified. Recently since i was getting more credit card card payments from my clients, i opened another "Premier" account in paypal. Now the premier account is not verified as i dont have a credit card to do so. (I have applied for one but didnt get it till now) I need to know whether even in Premier account (Unverified), is there is any limit to accept credit card payments. I know that there is only 5 credit card transaction is allowed for personnal account evventhough we are verified. Please advice. Thanks.
Unverified just mean that your customer may not trust you and paypal would not place any receiving limits for accepting credit card payment or otherwise, you will just have a limit in the amount of money you can withdraw or spend from that account until you allow paypal to trust you by having you verify for that account. Since you are inevitably using the paypal account to receive money and you know very well that you cannot use the Personal account to make money through paypal, why not just close the Unverified Premier account and then upgrade the Personal account to a Premier account instead. Besides, with the Personal account, you not only are not allowed to use it to receive money from sales, if you have both a personal and premier/business account, you are not allowed to use the personal account to receive any money. All of which are stated in the Legal Agreement which you signed for.
Actually i am in the process of verifiying the premier account. My only query was that till i verify my premier account, is there any limit for receiving the credit card payments? I guess eddy2099 has answered that as well. Many thanks. I wont close my premier account and upgrade my personnal acccount simply because i dont want to miss the free paypal to paypal account transfer at any cost Thanks
But you do know that you are not allowed to receive payments to your personal account if you have a premier account and you are not allowed to use your personal account for anything other than non-business transactions. Just do it at your own risk.
It is not about the IP address, it is just that Personal Accounts are not made for people who do not want to pay paypal their due fees by receiving incoming funds from sales/business activities. Personal accounts by the very definition is for personal use and the average individuals would use the account for the purpose of spending money through paypal. they do allow you to receive money from friends and relatives and for you to sell some of your things which you no longer need to use via auctions. It is not for you to use for business activites whether it is for selling of goods or provision of services. If you create web sites for people, that is practically a business because you use your skills to make money and earn a living. That would be deemed as business and thus you need to use a business or premier account for that. You cannot also ask people who pays via paypal balance to send you the money to your personal accounts and credit card payments to your premier accounts.
I understand eddy and totally agree with you. Thanks for the heads up. Now i got to know that it is very illegal for having personnal account for business purpose. And all the very best for 7000 posts . You truly rock Thanks for everything.
