A friend of mine and my boyfriends mentioned that he don't like Queen. We're not too happy about his comment - however everyone is entitled to their opinion, but what I want to know do you, the DP community, like Queen? (If so - any favorite songs?, If not - why?) I personally feel Queen is the best thing the British music scene have ever had! Come on' Brian May played on top of Buckingham Palace! I would be honoured to do that!! (Then again who wouldn't!!) So come on, your thoughts??
Just see how many Queen tribute bands there are. There are even a couple of good "Freddie-a-likes" out there. Personally, my favourite Queen song is "One Vision/Fried Chicken". Awesome band.
I totally agree: Queen have been fantastic, wonderfull, amazing ! Even Brian May's albums have been great: if you did not listen to them I really suggest you to do so! For as regards my favourite song, well I like so many of them that every time I'm asked I reply with a different one, So, today I'd say Bohemian Rapsody, but, for example, Love of my Life and Somebody to Love are great too. Not to talk about Innunendo... Love of My Life was from "A Night at the Opera", awesome album recorded in 1975 (the same album included Bohemian Rapsody and You are My Best Friend, just to stay in the "Greatest Hits" field).
They were certainly over-rated in some peoples eyes and under-rated in others. I'm with the majority here, they are/were over-rated.
Legends of rock...one of my favourite bands...they were so underrated in my opinion... Favourite song...hmmm? Too many to choose from...These Are The Days of Our Lives is a very moving song. Too Much Love Will Kill You is another favourite of mine. Older stuff I like Fat Bottomed Girls, Save me, Somebody To Love....the list goes on!!
Sure I like Queen and the creativity of Freddy Mercury. They are the gigants of art rock culture and we have a great honor to be their fans!
