This server will be set up within 7 days so preorder now.
No need for any payment before the server is set up but i ask that the
person that wants to preorder has at least 15 iTrader.

    Server specs:
    AMD Opteron 246 (2.0GHZ) 64 bit Processor
    2 Gigabytes of RAM (DDR/Registered)
    120 GB Hard Drive
    100Mbps Port Speed
    Network Providers:
    Level 3, Global Crossing, Sprint
Broadcom BCM5704 Gigabit NIC (connected via GigE Uplink Port)

This is the server that the VPS will be hosted on.
I only have 2 openings for two VPS and only one plan.

    VPS1
    semi-managed
    60gb of space
    1500gb bw
    1 GB Dedicated RAM
    1 IP
    Linux/FreeBSD
    Control Panels: Webmin/ISPConfig (free)
    Remote Access: VNC, and/or SSH
    40$ monthly

The server is onshore but warez linking is allowed until we receive a complaint. Your account will not be banned if i receive a complaint.
I can also install most scripts that you need installed and will help you as much as i can.
I do not have any site since this is only 1 server but all support or sales questions will be answered within 24h.

    1) Your asking people to preorder
    2) The server specs are terrible, that processor is 6 years old
    3) There is no redundancy in your configuration
    4) You can easily find places, with higher quality servers, 24/7 support, for the same price
    5) You look like a total scam, 'I don't have a site'. A domain costs $8.11 at namecheap and you can hosting at Hostgator for 1 cent for the first month.

    1. His price looks reasonable for having average priced server.

    2. His Post And iTrader is virtual, but they do mean something.

    3. Definitely not overselling, should be worth the money.

    4. Btw what is location of server going to be assuming there is going to be one?

    To TheITGuy

1.My preorders don't involve any money just a stable iTrader that you must have.
2.My server is what it is, im offering quality hosting with no overselling. btw you will prob get faster everything on my server then on a oversold one that has a XXXX$ configuration.
3.This is a managed server so don't worry about anything.
4.Yes i can find servers but they are unmanaged, this one is managed.
5.I don't need a site for 1 server that i have for now, im not spending money on a billing script or anything and i don't want a low budget website

    To FiredNille
No you cant sice the server is not set up completly yet, as i said you dont need any money just a good iTrader so you are not paying anything
for a preorder. I just want to fill up the server as soon as i can that is why i have this preorder.

    To Jiaoxian

Thx for that m8, you are 100% right. People are used to cheap oversold hosting and they complain how oversold it is.
And the server location is Miami, Florida.
    Thx for that nice post.

Since there is low interest for the first server listed in the first post for VPS use, it will be used for shared hosting.
A new server will be set up for virtual privet servers.
    This configuration will be used:
    Processor
    AMD Opteron 2218 (2.6ghz)
64 Bit / Dual Core Processor
    Memory
    4 GB (DDR2-667) Registered / ECC RAM
    Hard Disc
    750 Seagate Barracuda (7200.11) SATA-2
    RAID
    Hardware RAID-0 (Mirroring)
    Hardware RAID-1 (Striping)
    Network Providers
    Level 3, Global Crossing, Sprint
    NICs:
    (2) Intel 10/100/1000 NIC Cards Includes (2) Uplink Connection to Diverse Switches
    Operating System
    Linux/FreeBSD, Windows Server
    Control Panels
    Webmin/ISPConfig (free),

    Vps plan:
    Disc Space
    100gb
    Bandwidth
    750gb
    (10) Megabits of sustained traffic guaranteed, burstable to full network capacity (no speedcaps)
    Memory
    1gb dedicated
    1 IP
    OS
    Linux/FreeBSD
    Control Panels
    Webmin/ISPConfig (free)
    Remote Access
    VNC, and/or SSH
    40$ monthly

Only 4 plans will be sold.
Same rules apply as for the first server in the first post:
This server will be set up within 7 (possibly sooner) days so preorder now.
No need for any payment before the server is set up but i ask that the
person that wants to preorder has at least 15 iTrader.

Also i am working on a site this time with a billing script. It will be ready before the server is set up.

Don't feel bad for at all. Most people on the forum EXPECT to get $5 VPS that have the same features you listed, but then turn around and go "OH MY GOSH!! I can't believe I was scammed.." after the company withdrawals their PayPal funds and is never seen again.

Smart customers usually come. You just have to stick around for them. You have a great deal ... we offer the same package VPS, with less HD space (only 45 GB) for $8/more.. so what you offering is definitely a bargain. Don't let their non-responsiveness to anything that doesn't say "UNMETERED" or "WAREZ LINKING OR PROXY" allowed bother you

An Opteron 246 is an average priced server? That server is less than $100, the most expensive I have ever seen someone charge for that, is $95(For the server). By no means is that server fit for Virtualization. It doesn't have any RAID, so there is absolutely zero redundancy.

Most companies blatantly lie about what servers they will be using virtualization, and the Opteron is definitely a still widely used chip. Hell, even the non-dual core Celeron's are still being used for servers. 2.X ghz virtualized from an single vs. 2.X ghz coming from a $100+ more dual core, the difference isnt that much. I have two personal servers, one is P4-3.8ghz and the other is a Intel 2.0ghz Dual Core.. in pretty much every aspect, the P4 keeps up.

I am not saying the chip doesn't matter, but WHATEVER is virtualized, the throughput is going to be the same, with only milliseconds of difference. ;) And if its more cost effective for a company to use a lesser price chip.. let it be!!

Nope, but I've definitely seen them used. And Celeron's have come a long way, the *only* difference in the newer Celerons vs. "Dual"/Duo Cores, is the cache ;) If you're IT guy WOW'ing to that, I'm the IT genuis here guy. ;) Plus not to mention, a very good friend swears by them for overclocking.. you'd be surprised, actually, you'd be WOW'd!

    WOW'd!

They are super easy to OC. Just FYI, FSB is MUCH higher on the C2D series than the Celeron's.

Yup, but when you end up overheating the Core 2 Duo's vs. the Celeron's, you are also looking at a price save of burning out the cheaper chip in excess of $100, especially with higher end models. For everything except gaming, the Cel's are only lacking the cache data pipe. For something as far as VPS goes, I think if I only had a choice between an Opteron and a Celeron Duo, I'd take the Celeron.

My first experience with an AMD chip was installing Win95, and waiting a good hour with many problems, and lots of BIOS flashing. Never really messed with them anymore, but I see tons of them used in web-hosting. I guess they must be good at something lol
