Quality Traffic Needed

Hi everyone ... after some advice....

I have a travel affiliate website which receives around 450 uniques a day. I am wanting to get more quality traffic to the site. What is the best way of going about this?

I don't have time to get stuck into a long winded SEO program (which I know would deliver results). Perhaps some well placed advertising on relevent sites? Does anyone have some ad space on a high traffic travel site to sell?

Before anyone offers, no, i am not interested in some scheme that will deliver me 10,000 untargeted visitors through through pop unders!

    Thanks!

    Elliot

    Hi Elliot

While search engine optimization may take a while ( it shouldn't) results will take time however the ROI if you have a 5 year or longer vision of your web business is too great to bypass.

However I can help you with driving traffic to your site(s) through various other methods.

You could bid in Pay Per Click for high quality leads.

Pay For Inclusion - You pay a flat fee to be included on the search engines results page.

Targeted e-mail campaigns. Guaranteed Plan- I have a plan that gurantees 1500 qualified visitors in 7 days or we run the e-mail free till you receive the 1500.

Targeted e-mail campaigns No Guarantees - Plans available for up to 1,000,000 Targeted US or UK visitors. All plans deliver in 30 days excpet the 1,000,000 visitors which are delivered over 90 days.

Contextual Advertising. If you visit Seochat.com and read any of the articles you will see single blue words underlined. Hover your mouse over one of the blue words and you will see a contextual banner ad. These ads convert around 30%

Are the email campaigns run off of Opt-In lists? Or will I just get reported for Spam?

I am in a very similar position as you, it might be worth us having a chat via messanger to see if we have done similar or achived the same. The one area I differ is the seo. I am not an SEO but have read up and asked here and else where for advice - SEO is almost free so why are you not using it? it should not be thet long winded imo.

The problem with results is that people want the same instant gratification from an internet business as when they TOLD mommy to get them a new toy.

Business takes time and money. PERIOD. There are no free overnight sucesses. As was pointed out, you need to have a 3 to 5 year plan and be able to be out of pocket at least the first year financially and for at least 3 labor wise.

    Good luck.

    just add content.

1 page of great content average >= 10 uniques / day depending on actual content and spread.

Also makes it sticky - better conversion.

    1. If you don't live and breathe it don't expect to make milions...

    2. sticky(or stickiness) refers is visitor retention ...

    - if you have just one page why would anyone stick around?

    3. Great content is content that does not need to be new but should not just be a regurgitation of something thats already out there, it may just be in a different and more apropriate form and may have some (percived) value added to it (or just a different slant).

E.G. on one of our UK travel sites we give information about how to get to the airport - public transport maps directions taxi etc etc in a different manner to standard airport info with added value like links from map to detailed directions from wherever the punter is - surprise surprise our pages are ranked above them and are now heavily copied by ASP's (alternative service providers or competition) .....

Brands the name allows intro of all sorts of offers including our own and for the wayward offers a way out via ADsense....

    Easy

No I don't know anyone that actually reads spam... but wouldn't you agree that if the emails are going out to people who opt-in to a newsletter on a topic they're interested in, then people would read them?

If someone is selling advertising space in their newsletter then it may be worth it...
I do skim ads that are in the newsletters I subscribe to.

If you have the subscriber base for it then selling a few ads in your newsletter can be an additional source of income from the ad revenue. The other option is if you email out just the link to your newsletter and then run AdSense on the sides of your newsletter page... both are viable options.

Now I had no idea that's what we were talking about. That actually seems like it would work. But 1,000,000 op ins, that's where they lose me. I believe that could work, but I'm paranoid and would want alot of details before using such a service.

So, I can sell ads in my member emails? Damn, I'm just a coder, I need more tips like that!

If You have some sort of affiliate links on Your site travel site or any source of income than You should definitively try the Adwords PPC. Because in this way You can get qualified visitors INTERESTED IN WHAT ARE YOU PROPOSING AND SELLING :)
