Greetings, I just discovered the power of social networking through facebook. I made a facebook specifically for my website. It is the "green" niche so I looked for groups that are green related on facebook. I noticed my adsense clicks started to increase when I started advertising deeper into my niche. Has anybody else out there had any success targeting their niche through social networking? How has it paid off for you in the long run? Sincerely, Travis Walters
It all depends to be honest. I believe that social bookmarking isn't valuable to me when it comes to adsense. User's who use social sites like facebook, delicious etc, are all AD blind. I would work on quality content with 4 word keywords, optimize and build backlinks 60% of your time. You'll be dominating before you know it !
I never got good click rates when received traffic from social networking sites, Search engine traffic is best if you want higher click rate in Adsense.
well I think it depends upon niche. So you cannot expect to get targeted traffic through social networking in every niche. It is more about sharing so i guess if your niche falls in some category realted to fun and social activities, you may find social networknig more beneficial there.
Social networking can bring your traffic but I didn't see any difference in my Adsense clicks probably due to a different niche.
Well i have tried stumbleupon and reddit but they are not worthy..you should depend on google search results...that means people coming through google search clicks more than normal..thanx
As someone already stated. Having your site popular with Google search will definately get you more ad revenue. If you have good SEO on your site and keywords then the sky is the limit. Focusing on myspace, and social networking sites will only get you so far, you will need something stable if you plan on being successful.
Frankly speaking, social network traffic is good but it is not as good as search engine traffic. Normally search engine traffic will give higher CTR compare to social networks. By the way, social network is one of the best source to receive good CTR if only you are active
Greetings, Thanks for the great responses. I am about 25th for "Green Businesses" in google out of 125 million pages. Being on the third page does not get me much traffic. In the meantime, social networking seems to be working well for me. I go on facebook looking for groups in my niche. I have not tried other social networking sites. This was only a test to see how well it would do and I got several clicks from ads from just a few posts on facebook that just persuaded other green people to visit my site. Pretty neat. Usually, those who use social networks are also marketers and these people are Ad blind. They know that the owner of the blog earns money everytime they click on the ad and also, they are there to market their blogs not to visit sites and click on the ads. I get visits to my blogs but usually only 10% click from them.
