Does the website title and it's meta tags affect the quality score? ie, if my meta tags & title had the word "widgets", would it increase the quality score for the landing page if I was bidding on the word "widgets?" ???
yes they definitely affect the quality score because it is directly related to the relevance of your landing page to your keywords
They play a small part, but it's the overall theme of the website that makes up most of the quality score.
For sure they both play a part in your Quality Score and can help initially with your ranking until the CTR really starts to make the most difference; then they are less of a factor...at least that's how I have experienced it.
Can't be without them, check any websites, what you see, when you search ? fist line it's alway title, and rest of the space takes descriptions or keywords. very important to have both . happy holidays
I will recommend this free ebook on quality score http://www.googlelady.com/614/adwords-quality-guide-free-ebook/
I agree, although I think that the title probably has more of an impact than the meta information. Most important of all is the main content of the site, its amount and its relevance to the keywords and ad texts.
