Quality score suddenly dropped

    Hi All

I've been running 2 campaigns with google for 4 months now. Had great quality score with average CTR of around 15-18%, low bids and great ad positions.

Yesterday I logged in to my account and sqw that the quality score for all the keywords in these campaigns suddenly dropped to poor.

Called adwords support and they claimed it is becuase of my landing page design. They said there is not enough content on the sites Etc.

Has anyone encountered this kind of problem before?

I really need to get these campaigns up and running again as they are really profitable.

    Thanks

I though it was only me, and I blamed myself since I spoke with google the other day to let me expand my adwords account... I figured that caused them to review my sites.. .but I checked this morning and a definite slap is cruising through my account.

I even think they are taking out my BANS sites this time as well....

I think I will have to restart and rebuild my sites now... something I was not looking forward to...

one friend of me changed domain name and opened new account - everything fine! Another way to increase quantity of keyword on LP or make more LPs...

It's happenin all over the place... you're not alone

Is your landing page just one page or is it part of a mini site with a few other pages such as a articles page, privacy policy , contact us, about Us...

Google is really clamping down on ONE PAGE lading sites, get some content pages going and you should be fine

I actually set up several article pages that contain nothing more than articles that I copy and paste straight from ezinearticles.com or any other article directory

All you have to do to find those articles is search google for your Keyword ezinearticles or your keyword articles

This technique won't work for your site if you are trying to get it ranked well in the natural search results but it works well for getting a good to great quality score in adwords

    Cheers

Are you tracking conversions with google?

I personally think google increases minimum bids on accounts with good conversion so that they can earn more money out of it.

Nothing you do will bring a campaign back once it has been "Google slapped" as this is widely called.

Starting a new campaign using a new domain name is the only way to get the campaign to work again. Best to open a new account as well.

Google are past masters at double talk and dialog will just waste your time and delay you getting earnings going again. Expect this to happen again, and again and again! Just be ready - they do it about every three months.

    Oh yeh

You do need to have a site map, relevant content to key words, a privacy policy, etc. You can find out more about this at Google's Webmaster Central

I realized keywords play a more important role for having a "Great" quality score.

Many of my landing pages do not have a privacy policy page, not to mention site map. What I do is include the keywords on the landing page and make sure they appear at least twice.

Unlike most landing pages, I usually have less than 100 words so maybe, just maybe that's why i can "trick" Google into giving me a great QS this way. :p
