Just curious does the QS usually update after time? For example say your ad was actually doing better then your competitors, but could it actually read ok for awhile until more data is collected, so it could read great? If I remember right our last campaign started out like that we never changed the ads, but after a few weeks all the QS scores went up to great...
yes, the original quality score is a guesstimate from google. It can go up or down based on what really happens once your ads start getting impressions and clicks
From: http://www.ppcdiscussions.com/2008/03/adwords-quality-score-faq.html Keep in mind that QS will soon be calculated in real time - right at the time the query takes place. The PPC Book blog has some screen shots of how the new QS will be shown to advertisers.
Yea I'm excited about that. The thing is though our account(s) are still running off the OLD QS system which I think is updated very slowly.
I think all accounts will be updated in the coming weeks. I'm holding off on some changes until the new QS is in play so I don't have to potentially redo anything I'm working on today 3 weeks from now.
Me too. Showing the quality score, even at somewhat generic intervals, was a great first step. Fast forward almost two years and now we're getting more visible QS intervals...not perfect but another step in the right direction
If your referring to the QS score 7/10 yea that's great. I guess maybe if it says 10/10 that you would be one of the best on that page. I'm going to really like the live reporting becuase the QS scores suck as of right now. This might make it a lot easier for affiliates and ppc marketers in general to jump into a niche and make money faster and more efficiently instead of waiting for the QS to update.
