Is it possible to do a report for each keyword or adgroup that shows the Quality Score? I would like this so I can pay attention to ones with a Poor QS. Thanks, Jon
There is no such report on quality score. You can only view the quality score rate in adgroup at keyword level. They are Poor, Good and Ok. Quality score is depends on keyword relevancy, landing page relevancy, max CPC, ctr, ad text relevancy and landing page load time. Try to be great in these factors. If these factors are good, you will defiantly get "Good" quality score.
A keyword report will allow you to see the Quality Score out of 10. You can't see this information at Adgroup level. It's the keywords with a poor cost per conversion that you should focus on - Quality Score is important to improve (whether it's 1/10 or 9/10), but you shouldn't adjust bids or remove keywords based on it.
I thought Adwords has a Campaign level and Account level quality score. If so, surely it pays to remove keywords with poor quality scores?
Perhaps you should get up to speed before you post...poor, good and ok QS ratings have been gone for awhile... There is an account level QS buts it's not visible anywhere. Removing "junk" helps it.
You can use the AdWords editor to view the whole account min cpc which can be an indication of the QS?
Should I remove all those keywords with no impression and low quality? Or transfer it to another group? I have a QS 1/10 single keyword and the thing is, it is relevant to the landing page and wondering why it is still QS1?
GuyFromChicago, thanks for that link. Just did a Placement/Keyword Report and you will be pleased to know that it now contains the Quality Score for each keyword. So you can sort by QS and clean up your account. Magic!
If a keyword generates no impressions, then it's having no impact on the overall clickthrough rate, which is used by Adwords to assess your account. Adwords doesn't take an average of all your Quality Scores to calculate your Account Quality Score - it takes your overall clickthrough rate and average position (I believe). So a keyword with a lot of impressions and no clicks, or a lot of keywords with a few impressions each and no clicks, can have a significant impact on your Quality Score. But a keyword with no impressions will have no bearing. Of course, if it's had no impressions after a while, how many is it going to accrue? And how many clicks does that equate to? And will it ever generate a conversion?? Whilst I like the long tail, I always prune away anything with no impressions after a month or two, to make the account more manageable...
And if a keyword suddenly gets an impression - Google often won't show it. Instead it will display something like 'this keyword isn't generating enough traffic to show - when it does, your keyword will start showing. You don't have to do anything about it' (or words to that effect)
