Quality score is strange sometimes!

I had a adgroup with a keyword that was 2 seperate words and rated as Great. Now I've created another adgroup with the 2 words joined together with exactly the same advert and its only rated as OK. I swear sometimes depending on the time of day you put adverts on sometimes you'll get a Great and next time just an OK!

Sometimes no matter what I do when I create an advert I can never get a Great, even when using adverts rated as Great. I know its almost always down to the landing page but hey, its just plain weird!

What's the difference between the CTR between the 2 adgroups?

If there's a big difference between the CTR that could be the reason.

Adwords reward adgroups with higher QSO when CTR are higher. Also make sure your dominant keyword is reflected prominently throughout your landing page. Adwords needs to know what your landing page is about.

Start thinking SEO meets SEM and you'll see some changes.

    Cheers

Hi guys. Sorry, I didn't explain properly. This is for brand new created adgroups. I'm sure if I created the same advert on different days I'd get a different QS.

Unfortunately with 1000 keywords I'm either going to have to:-

    A) Have a lot of different landing pages. (impossible to maintain/make changes to)
    B) Live with it!

Unless anyone has any ideas, looks like its going to have to be option B for me.

Get it right the first time and you won't have to make changes. I've had landing pages START with 3 cent minimum bids.

    I agree with gkgk11.
Get it right the first time.

Tip: focus on the main terms first, then work down the list of keywords based on traffic levels or conversions.

I do agree with you guys but if you're wanting to avoid google gibberish on the LP and keyword stuffing, I don't see how all bases can be covered?
