Quality Score is Great but higher bids still needed

    Hi,
I have several campaigns running with Google Adwords and have noticed that in some of my campaigns, despite having a Quality Score of 8/10 I am still being asked to increase my minimum bid for some of my keywords.

Does anyone happen to know why this would be? It seems to go against what I have read in several ebooks on the topic

    Thanks

You are asked to increase your minimum bid for the keywords with 8/10? Or for others? What is the reason? Sometimes they give you a suggestions for recommended budget; but that's all.

I have been asked to up them for keywords with 8/10. It says that my bid is 'below first page estimate'

I have the same issue. I think it might be a low CTR.

It's not a minimum, it's a minimum to make the first page...which I've found extremely misleading. It your situation it's likely other advertisers also have high quality scores and are just bidding more.

Anyway, if it's working where it's at don't bother. If you have room to grow and can pay more for a better position and still meet roi objectives go for it.

High quality score only help u to get ur creative rank higher with the min. bids on that keywords. it doesn't mean that even u bid too low and u would get higher rank or in first page. if ur bid is enough for first page and ur bidding amount is a bit lower than ur competative even than ur creative would attain higher position than ur copetitor.

I guess if you are asked to raise bids for the keywords that have the 8/10 quality score, you might be missing some important factors that you necessarily required to. A quality score is based on the quality of your ad, historical keyword performance ,CTR and other relevancy factors.

Please consider all these things when you expect lower bid!!:)

Your competitors are probably bidding a higher max cpc or they have a QS that's even better than yours...
