I figured out that these should be some of the quality parameters for the links that should be built for a website.
I would love to hear what other members of the forum have to say to these and if there should be more parameters.

    1. No Forums, message boards,
    2. Must use various titles, descriptions and anchor text for various links.
    3. No link farms or link-exchange programs are allowed.
    4. All websites must be family friendly; no gambling, pharmacy, illegal, porn, violent or hate-based sites will be accepted.
    5. Links must be from different Class-C IP addresses.
    6. The link page from which my site will be linked must not have more than 50 outbound links.
    7. All links must be static, direct, standard “a href” type links using the anchor text, titles and descriptions provided.
    8. All links must be indexable by googlebot, yahoobot, msnbot and or other search enginebot and not rel=”nofollow” type links.
    9. All links must be visible to the human reader; no hidden links.
    10. All links must be permanent, one-way links from related sites but not competitor sites.
    11. All links must be free.
    12. No links already linking to my site will be accepted.
    13. No automated software is allowed, Zeus, Arelis or other.
    14. Links cannot be from pages that are disallowed by robots.txt.
    15. Links cannot be through a JavaScript and or a redirect script.
    16. Links cannot be on Flash sites or pages.
    17. Links cannot be from framed pages.
    18. No links to spam sites on the page where our link is

Interesting. Most of these sound pretty reasonable.

Not sure about forums and message-boards - they might be OK, I mean a highly-ranked forum or message-board will have high criteria for linking in posts (like DP) and thus it will be relatively hard to get links on there and thus they will be higher value? Or something like that.

    What do you think?
