Thanks for your feedback everyone. I knew it might be a bit controversial, put I posted the thread anyway - not to get my post count up - but to see what others thought. Clearly most responses seem to agree with me - which is quite interesting. For the record - I try to post useful answers to useful questions when members need help or an opinion. It is the lack of useful questions which concerns me.......................
You certainly have a lot of expectation for the largest forum on the largest webmaster board on the net.
I posted a thread here the other day with some interesting info, but it went over everyones head and slid off the page. Yet if i posted "Oh noes my PR went from 2 to 1" i could nearly retire from the Adsense revenue share so go figure.

Likewise... i do get plenty of comedy value out of this forum I do still keep coming back though because once in a while there is a topic of real use and I learn something I didn't know before... Conker... if you start a forum I'd be the first member.... it would have nothing to do with your avatar of course
there are a lot of beginngers in this section obsessed with Google - but there is the odd snippet of good info - just requires a lot of shifting through the crap
