I will make a logo for you for $75, paypal I know there are others doing it for a fraction of this price, but they aren't real graphic designers. I would normally charge $300 minimum for a logo, but I want to help the digital point community.
Why would a degree be important? A highschool drop may be designing far better than a dr. It's only a matter of talent.
I suppose you don't think Mozart was a musician either......since he had no "degree" . Good Luck finding success in any kind of venture with that attitude.... PS. ditch the hotmail account on your resume its very unprofessional and while you're at you might want to put it somewhere other than a free image host. I didn't even read it because like any employer would do I saw the free image host and the hotmail account and clicked the X to close it.
I gotta agree with you phantom (with the hotmail account and free image hosting)... "I know there are others doing it for a fraction of this price, but they aren't real graphic designers." Seriously, wake up and smell the coffee... A degree is just a piece of paper proving that you have theoretical knowledge, that "doesn't" make you a real designer. I don't wish to flame you but with that 1 sentence, you've stated that the majority of logo designers at DP aren't really logo designers at all. That's big talk from err... nobody! Show use your best logo designs and I bet I can find atleast 10 designers located here in DP without a degree who could beat you in every logo competition you enter in this forum. For your sake, I do hope that you're a good designer, but I don't think you can last long by giving a bad names to other people. Just a question: Did you leave those 4 workplaces in 3 years or did you get fired 4 times in 3 years? LOL
[edit for being a little too harsh i suppose, but the last part is on the level] So I guess my constructive advice is to throw up an actual gallery of your work because you will never get hired to do any graphic work here on DP (just to help DP or not) unless people have some kind of idea of what you are graphically capable of.
I can't believe you would say that people on here aren't real graphic designers, lets see what you got...
you have a point guys, a resume can also help to get client but having a nice portfolio can give you 99% chance to get more clients.
