    hi,

I have just starting doing article writing service. But I could not find much sucess lately though I have had some good buyer.

I wanted to know that what are the quality a buyer is looking in the writer so that it attracts the clients.

Also what is the technique in the rates. I mean How should a writer charge his client when he is asking for work.

How should one represent his work, you know rates, what all he is offering and other things.

    Regards

First of all, if you're the writer, you need to work on your spelling and grammar. You also need to improve your pluralization.

I'm sorry Abhishek, but the main reason you are not having much success in writing articles in English – is because your English is not good enough.

If you were having a conversation with a native English speaker you would be able to make yourself understood. But to sell articles you need to do a lot more. Your work needs to be easy to read, and easy to understand. Your sentence structure is poor and you do not appear to understand using plurals.

Perhaps you should look into writing for users of your native language whilst you improve your English skills.

    Good Luck

Thanks for pointing out my mistake in the post. I really appreciate and I wish I could alter it. :)

Although I want to know, what a writer is looking for when he is in need of a article writer?

A writer would not be looking for an article writer!

The first thing a buyer would look for is someone who is fluent in English (assuming that they are looking to buy English articles!)

After that it depends on the buyer - the less discerning ones then look for price, and speed. A more discriminating buyer will look for a writer who can craft articles to fulfil thier specific needs.

But, Abhishek, even your reply shows that you are not fluent in English - this may not bar you from some of the cheaper jobs on DP, I have seen terrible writers get loads of jobs and great itrader! However unless you improve you will not got good paying jobs.

    I hope that helps.

I think you could certainly get a lot of clients if you offer you're services on the cheap. Many people are more than content with bog standard non fluent articles. However, you're grammar and understanding of the English language should be improved if you're looking to make a small fortune in article writing. ;)

One of the best ways to improve your English is to read, read and read. Try to read as many books as you can. Then watch TV shows and Hollywood movies. These can help you learn conversational English and grammatically structured English. Along the way, get good grammar text books and study them thoroughly.

yes i agree with carolyn. there is no substitute to reading. even if you study grammar books if you don't apply it thru reading and/or writing, it won't do you much good.

Thank you...I will definately do that...Also should I read novels or small books..I definitely read newspaper everyday...

I really don't think grammar books will help me that much..I know when and what to use the propositions and all..It is just that I always think right when I am thinking what to write..But somehow I get things wrong when I am typing..;P

    regards

A person has to have an excellent writing skills to be able to compel the readers to read his content fully well !!!

Try to develop an easy flow in your writing and always try and use regular/routine words rather than some complex numbo-jumbo long words.

Basically as I buyer I look for good English in communications with the author, as well as a good manner and attitude towards the work.

I think if you're really serious at writing in fluent English then you need to take some time in English classes. It is clear that you understand the language, but you need to focus on grammar mainly, and, in my opinion, you can only learn this through spending time talking to a native English speaker, although reading English novels will suffice, and you'll eventually see an improvement in your writing.

    Good luck!

It is a very long process, which is why it's extremely hard for any non native English speaker to produce quality articles. Even a grammar checker or something similar will make errors, and it's very easy to tell when someones not up to scratch on their grammar and using these sorts of checkers.

Spot on! Carolyn covered everything I was going to say. I just want to add that if you want to read online, don't read random blogs or sites. You don't know the english skills of those writers and you probably won't notice the difference at this point. Read from well established and reputed sites that only publish professionally written articles. Those sites proofread the articles before posting, so they are more likely to be written in correct english. While reading, pay close attention to how they structure the sentences, what type of word they use etc. That will improve your english quite quickly.

And don't worry about how lengthy and tedious the process can be. If you want it bad enough, you will get there fast.

    Best of luck.
