"Quality Content" My Ass.

I was doing some surfing, and I came across this page:

    http://classicfilm.about.com/z/js/o...om/b/2007/12/21/frank-capra-jr-dies-at-73.htm

..that's just about as MFA as you can get. Only it's on about.com.

No content, just ads. But they get premium publisher status (you can tell by the redesign of the ads), but excuse me if I'm missing something here. Where's the quality content standard that Google keeps harping about to Adsense users on this page?

Can I get away with a page with no content on it, too? Yeah right. I'd be strung up by the nuts if I did this as a publisher.

It's a bunch of crap, if you ask me.

And here's the kicker: I was looking at the page again, and I clicked on the RIGHT HAND SIDE of the page and I mean WAYYYYY over, and the adsense block caught the click? I mean, come on, that's just crazy....

That is because it is a page you get to after clicking on "movie offers" from the Classic Movires page. But yes, that is true, we would get shafted for having a page like that.

SO GO JOIN THE NEW UNION that I am starting!!!

I think I may have to start a "offers" site. If they can do it, why can't I?

    mortgage offers
    mesothelioma offers
    lawyer offer

Yeah, I can see it now. And at the bottom I'll just put:

    About these offers:

These offers are linked to ads purchased by companies that want to advertise next to relevant content, based on a set of keywords they specify. The offers are administered, sorted and maintained by a third party.

    Yeah, that should do it.

Yeah, you could park them--and get about 25% of the click value. That's the one bad thing about parking plans/ If there was one who gave out, say 65% of the click, I'd probably go with them. But most like Sedo are a joke, earnings wise. At least the ones I've heard of.

Parked.com. I actually get some pretty good CPC with them. Sedo is complete crap, Namedrive does fine for me because of their geotargeted ads, but for US traffic... Parked.com is my choice. Hell, you can even customize your parked page and add custom content!

    I hate about.com too,
That site is a giant mfa site with a the approved Google logo on it.
Here is another other giant mfa sites findstuff.com
You willl find these guys on Kontera and Adbrite alot.
When your user clicks on it you get a few cents and there taken into a mfa portal that likes a giant parked page.
    Its PPC Arbitrage.
