I can report a 50% decrease in earnings so far today.

    It's not looking good.

Why are you all upset? If you're sending quality traffic, you'll start making even higher. If you're sending crap traffic that won't buy anything *cough* MySpace *cough*, you shouldn't be getting paid much. You're mad because advertisers aren't going to be paying as much for your traffic that doesn't convert. If you disagree and say your traffic does convert, why don't you use affiliate programs?

If you send crap, you'll get crap.

the only problem is that with YPN's sucky targetting system, 1/2 of the traffic will be crap...I am anxious to see how this month plays out for me.

    I'm not complaining at all.
I only asked YPN, to define "poor quality traffic" and "value for advertisers"

What is valued traffic for an advertiser like starware.com or vonage?
How many clicks without conversion are considered "poor traffic"?
If an advertiser wants to sell something at double the price you can find elsewhere on the net and he gets no conversions, is that "poor traffic"?
Traffic over UNRELATED ads served by yahoo, is considered "poor traffic" as if I use wrong ad targeting?
    Will they review/remove misleading ads?
Will they use an algo, or traffic will be manually reviewed?
IMHO, this new system is like an equation with lots of undefined variables and no constants.
    In one word: FUD

You forget the advertiser has a choice in the decision making. If they don't like their results, you stop your campaign.

Sounds good to me as a publisher. so far the CTR has gone up on my sites a little bit.. No decrease in earnings.

I've been sending the non-US traffic to google and today has seen a 407% increase in revenue. Something's up !

has anyone seen any real effects of smartpricing yet? i dont think its in place and actually working yet. maybe, like everything in ypn to date, it wont work properly and we will get paid more than we are supposed to. personally, smartpricing non targetted ads is like selling crap in a bag for a penny. its still crap.
