What hosting services are the best in your perception? I mean what criteria do you take into consideration while choosing a hosting company?
I prefer host gator and i also suggest you the same site for hosting purpose. There is good bandwidth capacity also which never makes your website slow down.
Good hosting is that which is able to satisfy all your needs and their uptime is high and support is helpful in all aspects. Marblehost and Obhosting companies are decent and trustworthy. And I'd recommend yo use them if you need quality and stable IT services.
The criteria should always be the following: - Uptime (guaranteed) - Resources used (hardware for servers as well as datacenter) - Support (availability and quality) - Location - Price I think this basically covers all fact's you should consider. To verify the info's provided by the Host you should consider checking forums and reading reviews of users already hosting there.
Choosing the right host is a very important decision. I've tried to covered all basic things which we have to consider while selecting a web host. # UNLIMITED features : Rarely trust companies that offer unlimited space/bandwidth etc. as this is blatant overselling. When was the last time you saw an unlimited hard drive?! # Free hosting : Be wary of free hosts, particularly ones that seem to be giving far too good a deal to you - they probably are. # Your ACTUAL needs : You might be excited by hosts that offer 5GB of storage space and 1000GB (1TB) of bandwidth for very low prices, but you should at the very least be wary of such companies. Besides the con issue, ask yourself - do you even need such large resources? # Do your research : It's very important to do adequate resource on whichever host you choose: don't just take their word for everything. Check what the technology experts are saying on the issue (e.g. look through reputable technology magazines for reviews). # When your needs outweight most plans : If you've outgrown your current plan and you are using very large resource amounts, it may be time to think about renting out a VPS (Virtual Private Server) or a Dedicated Server. One of the best option to avoid some problems is to simply deny hosting multimedia sites with shared hosting plans and if they ask for a reason, simply reply to the customer saying that multimedia sites require a good amount of resources which are not offered with a Shared hosting plan. If you allow a customer to host a multimedia site on the shared server, the site will need a good amount of resources which will eventually affect the performance of the shared server which might cause trouble to other customers on the same server.
in my perception, quality and affordable are 2 words that rarely come together see what customer says before you buy web hosting
Unlimited space/bandwidth is rarely an issue (well unless you want to store bunch of blu-ray movies for personal use on your host) The worst part of the shared hosting is sharing LIMITED CPU resources amongst UNKNOWN number of users AS the hosting company creates more and more accounts on the same host, you share of the LIMITED CPU resources gets smaller and smaller, causing slow downs and potentially account suspension if you stand out from the crowd in terms of your CPU usage. Want something more solid - go VPS or dedicated
I totally agree, but typically clients are looking for: - Price - Uptime (guaranteed) - Resources used (hardware for servers as well as datacenter) - Support (availability and quality) - Location
Hello, With our experience in this business first of all the costumer look at the prices then he tries the support service if it's ok or not then when he orders he looks at the uptime. for me ? SUPPORT AND UPTIME
Every aspect will take into consideration, some client look into word of mouth, some client look on advertisement. Basically the most important support, uptimes and price.
Definitely uptime and support service, for impressice quality of both features I recommend SeekDotNet.com.
