    I am fairly new to marketing, advertising in particular, and I was curious about what general qualifications people have who are working as marketers have. So I propose to all members of the site: What degrees or programmes have you attended that inspired you to get involved in marketing?

    Marketers are typically expected to have a bachelor's degree in advertising or business with a focus in showcasing.

    I have a business administration degree, but it was because it was the easiest degree to get at the time, heh. Honestly, degrees and certifications mean nothing. I love being an Internet Marketer because I love to tinker with things and persuade people to buy things that I think will benefit them. :)

    Your so right. Degrees don't mean much. It's all about the the individual.

    and.. wow 5 kids huh? You must have your hands full lol. I only have one and he keeps me busy enough!

    LOL. Yeah, it's a busy life, but it's super fun (have 1 more on the way so it'll be 6 soon). But yeah, you are right in that it's more genes/passion than anything that makes you a good marketer.
