Gotcha, I thought that is what you meant, but I read it as though you were saying "OTHER than the ads"....

Anyways, it is late here. I have had good success to date with the images. It won't be long until everyone and their dog is doing it.

    Good night all...

We implemented this stratergy and have doubled our daily earnings.

If this trend continues we will make twice as much as we were expecting to make this year from adsense, just from this one minor tweak of our sites.

There are not many other businesses were you can spend 30 minutes and double your yearly income.

Thank you to the person who came up with this stratergy. I had read about the fact that people like to read the captions of images once before, but not in relation to improving adsense CTR.

I think it worked particularly well on our site because the images we have relate to what our site is about and also to what 80% of the advertising on our site is about. The images are things our visitors want to buy and they complement our site very well. The other thing that I think made this stratergy work so well on our site is that appart from the site header we have no other images on ours pages.

I have noticed some beta adsense ads with tiny icons beside them. I saw one with an ebay icon for example. I guess google is heading in this direction

We plan to implement a image rotation script soon which may boost the earnings even more I suspect. I will keep the forum posted of our results.

    Me Again:

You know, I read a lot of webmaster complaints about low CTR rates with forums (not just here in DP, but in other related forums as well.) So, this technique I think is a great solution for the low CTR forum blues. I am now experimenting with my debt forum. Comments welcome!

I've also giving it a go @ my adult friend finder online dating website. Comments?

Suggestion: Let's try to keep this thread alive and interesting by posting our latest implementations of this technique. I realize that some of you would rather keep your site(s) private--and that's understandable--but I'm hoping the rest of you will share. We'll all learn and benefit by sharing our ideas ;)

It looks good on both your sites. I think the key is that the images you are using relate to your ads and both your sites are very targeted towards a single subject.

I hope people don't use misleading images just to increase their clicks . That sort of thing could spoil this for everyone.

AmCy you mention some other forums in your post, could you PM me those forums that talk about adsense. Thanks.

Looks good AmCy. Have you thought of randomizing the images?

yeah, randomizing would be optimal: if you know of a script that can randomize images and let me keep my ALT tags, please let me know.

I honestly don't understand where you are coming from with your comment. I don't see how you could reach that conclusion.

You are more than welcome to report the site to the Google AdSense Team and see what they say. You can post their reply here for all to see.

I have been using random image rotation script, and its giving me even better results from what I was getting 200-250 clicks with images It raised up words with image rotation to 350Avg clicks a day!
As my sites are dynamic and big, contents on each page is different on different topic with random images it works out really good!

Edit: Now who's giving me all that red rep? without any reason?

    Hi All,
I have been reading this thread very closely, so I hope my query has not already been addressed. When placing images above the 4 link leaderboard ad, how does one account for different screen resolutions? The images would go out of alignment if the screen resolution changed, right? (wrong?)

    Thanks
    Ajeet
