That's the best option, or putting a border around all of the images will pull them together as one unit.

Looks good, but I think your CTR would probably be higher with no images, blue colored links, and no border.

Hehehe, "think bling" and you have images like this:

    and
    [IMG]

Dont you think somehting more "bling" would work better?

    And. errrrr. how bling is:
    "Classical
Classical music to get your thoughts moving."

What were you aiming for when you brought this domain name, cos you have not hit it?

And while i'm flaming... whats that logo about? and green on white? and hidden "for all things that bling" text next to the logo?

And the "0x800a138f Windows Update Error" at the bottom of the page?

Hang on... this is just a crappy frontend for amazon... Infact it has NOTHING bling on it at all?!

On that note, I am proud to give you the critters "scraper/made for adsense" award.
You can now put this image on all pages of your site:

The real reason for the site is to provide a free php AWS script. Everything else is just for fun. You do get my "Mr. Critical Award" though. :)

Actually you would have to guarantee that this pictures where generic. Showing specific product or services images could mislead people into thinking they are getting something.

Not to mention you might be using copyrighted material ;)

Meh - I'm still gonna play with it...
Does it say somewhere in the TOS that you aren't allowed to do that? Maybe I missed something. You aren't exactly saying >>CLICK HERE<< are you?

So ... I have tried this format with a content website ... www.StudentVacationGuide.com ... what do you think?

I've used it on every page, and then did a little variation, with a large 2 large images and the 250x250 box in-between on each of the article pages.

It does not, but the recent emails people have got from Google when asking if this is OK have said that it is best to border off the ads, and keep the images generic. So it is not against the TOS, but G are advising caution

There exists a FUNDAMENTAL FLAW to this idea of placing images inline to adsense ads.

You cannot control the number of ads in your adsense tower. Yes I realise that most often you get four, but if you start to deliver good eCPM, then google will start to serve less ads in the same sized box.

    EXAMPLE

I have a site with the google_ad_width = 728; google_ad_height = 90;. sorry I am not willing to post url. Index page has 3 ads in this banner, most visited page has only one ad in the banner (it looks awful but the CTR, adn eCPM are the best on the site). Other pages have 2, 3or 4 ads on them.

Try placing your nice little images ontop or underneath an adsense banner without having control of the number of ads shown is silly, because if you are successfull in getting better ctr annd eCPM then google will start to automatically filter out the worse paying ads and serve you the most profitabble ones. But your tactic of placing 4 images will collapse when one ad, or 3 are served, because it has the opposite effect than the one you were looking for, which is to push the idea that the ads are an integral part of the design adn the site.

    Thanks for the info. :)

So do you think it is a potentially bannable thing at some point then?

I think it will probably take advertisers complaining before it becomes a bannable offense (putting images inline with ads).
