Quadrupled my CTR thanks to DP members.

Hmmm interesting thread this, interesting forum in general. I have recently started my own site & was tinkering around with the layout of my adsense ads. 2 days ago I changed the layout to what is now:

Before, the ads were spread all over the place in an effort to increase my CTR, since the changes the CTR has increased from 1.3% to 2%. I actually think the ads improve the look of the site in the current form, gives it better structure. Lemme know what you guys think.

 

After reading the post of jensense, I immediately put a line between the image and the Adsense on my trendsetter blog - Cellphones and Gadgets.

I rather stay on the safe side than to earn much that will lead to banning.

 

I like the postion of your search bar..is that doing well for you? Toying around with putting search bar on a few of my sites and wondering if its worth the effort.

the search bar do working for me, although the impressions on the search is lower compared to the impressions made by the ad units

 

That box of text links under your header graphic looks mighty similar to google ads, I'd be worried about a TOS violation.

 

AS I say to all who do this. Make your changes on a hidden page, email the URL to google, get them to say OK or NOT OK, then you have proof it is OK.

CNN.com is now displaying a topic-related image next to their Yahoo's advertiser links.

Critters, perhaps you might ask CNN and Yahoo a % too.

 

Shame, I would have alot of respect for a big company that came here and said "thanks for the idea" if this is where it came from.

 

I think it is more professional if they will drop critters or this forum a thank you message.....
