Is there a summary somewhere of these 54 pages? It's great information, but awfully time-consuming to wade through.

Edited to add: Oops, my message rolled it over to 55 pages.

Place images above your ads. Place a <HR> between them to make a border. E-mail Google about it. Watch your stats show more earnings. Change the images. You can use a random image script. Don't trick the visitors in to clicking the ads. The word is out. Every one on the internet is now using this trick.

That's what I got out of it from reading through the whole thing yesterday!

    er I'm on page 28!!!

Nope, the price you have to pay for all the great information is wading through all of our crap to find the diamonds in there. ;)

    TO CRITTERs:

Just want to thank you for the tips I learned from you in optimizing my adsense. In my CellPhones and Gadgets , a trendsetter blog earned better after applying your technique, that is, the Adsense ads and the images.

Hmm, the images are sugesting that the first ad will be for an x-box, then the 2nd will be for a PSP etc... I would want to make them more generic gaming images.

    That's what AdSense said!!

The challenging part is finding good generic images!

Big thanks to Critters - what great idea - (& love your pigs). I visit here regularly but lurk in the shadows content to follow from a distance, but I felt obliged to write now and say thanks, this is what boards are really about, 'free, good quality content' (ooooh... perfect plan for a site too!). My CTR has risen, i need to work on the images and after reading these last 50 odd pages I think i need to either pull my large graphic at the top of my pages or push my ads below the fold... will think on that, right now I'm going to put in some rotation on the images. thanks again.

I decided not to place adverts above the fold on the home page but on other pages in the site I have done the opposite. I also attempted to keep the adverts within the style of the page and this appears to be working well.

I would be grateful though if anyone has any comments on whether adding pictures would aid me in this case in improving or even any general critics.

My site is in tourism and suffers out of season, I was thinking to add some content on holiday insurance and foreign exchange in an attempt to boast earnings as financials pay more per click. If anyone has done similar or works in this field have hey found images helping to attractc more interest?

First post here so I hope i have gone about this the right way!

    Read the FAQ/Rules..
There are LOTS of little gems in there..that you will have questions about later anyway.. its not your average faq. ;)
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php

I am seeing adverts for spyware - which are not good for you.

Also the 468 banners AFTER the articles -http://www.postmehome.com/pages/memories/memories.asp

I would use big rectangles and put them IN the text, maybe borderless too.

More often than not those ads appear on the home page but no where else I queried this with google and at the time they said my account was fine. I thought they had just barred my IP as I access the page fairly regularly and they wanted to protect the stats fom my views.

Any ideas why this is is happening? according to googles faqs I don't think any apply there.

    cheers

Onpage content is spy reated, links, urls somewhere there is something spy related i guess.. or maybe pc/ computer or software related. Try intensifying the number of relevant keywords near the adverts.. maybe.

Or ask one of the adsense gurus here..
