Qs About Link Building

I use an awesome Search Engine Optimization company that has done some great things for my sites. With that being said I'm starting to do a little link building on my own and I had a few questions.

Here is the signature I use when I post and article to a site:

    <p>Research Funded by: <a href="http://www.charitydispatch.com/">National
    Charity Services</a><br>
    and <a href="http://www.rcbryan.com">Roger Bryan </a>&nbsp;</p>
    <p>Other Resources: <a href="http://www.buxsense.com">Traffic</a>
    <a href="http://www.imgshack.info">Image Host</a>
    <a href="http://www.gogets.com">Business Services</a>
    <a href="http://www.iauctions.com">Auctions</a>
    <a href="http://www.ctresults.com">Classifieds</a></p>

    Looks Like:

Research Funded by National Charity Services and Roger Bryan

    Other Resources: Traffic
    Image Host
    Business Services
    Auctions
    Classifieds

My question here is does the fact that I use multiple links diminish the value of the links? I know I read somewhere that the number of links on a page devalues each link. Anyone have any info on that?

Another question is does it make a difference that I use the same articles over and over again? I have 180 different articles that I paid a company to write for me. If I post all 180 articles on 10 different sites does that cause them to be skipped when companies like Google index the pages?

Before I get to involved in all this I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time.

My goal is to post 1800 links a month for the next six months. I'm hoping this on top of my SEO will get my sites moving in the rankings.

Anyone have any ideas or comments?

Does anyone know any other good sites to post articles too? I currently use Article2008.com Free Articles for your web site and newsletters. Submit Your Articles to Our Articles Directory and make a back link to your site. which is a PR3. I would like to find some sites with a little higher PR.

well the more links on one page devalues each link as not as much link juice gets passed

also the links are all irrelevant to each other

you need to place links on page relevant to the anchor text and your site

Thank you for the info... When you say that you need relevant links... why is that? If my sole purpose is just to get the back links will it make any difference?

it depends why you want backlinks
    PR? SEO?

they need to be relevant or google will not pass on their true value as it just looks like spam

Are you using a single word as anchor text?

My SEO is separate from this... I'm strictly looking for PR from my article and back link submissions.

    Hi,

Multiple links will on the same will demolishes your page rank, it wont pass any page rank to your site. See in articles where you are going to get approved you article and get listings is having PR=0, those pages they dont have PR. But in the future it may increase(not shore). It always better to get
links on page which should have some PR. With articles its not possible. But one thing is that its very useful for New site(PR=0/1). If you want some good articles i am having a list of articles with PR>=3.

If you want links(not article links) on page with PR>=1, i can do that. Please contact me at - texasddc at gmail dot com.

    http://ezinearticles.com
    http://goarticles.com
    http://articlebase.com

Those are the main three I use. Most of the quality article directories will
not accept an article with a linking structure such as that, so you may also
run into troubles in those regards as well as what the others have said about
the relation of the links to each other - the less related the content on the
page is to the site you are linking to - the less value the link will have.

As others have said, the more links on a page, the more deluded each link will be. With that being said, I personally think 20 links on a page is good, 30 is pushing it but never more.
If you can help it, change the article up a little with each submission. Add a word, remove a word, change a sentence, just something.

Adding the same thing over and over isn't horrible, but you wont get the most bang for your time.
You can try press releases as well there are tons and tons of article directories.. I suggest searching google for "article directory" or something like that.

and in answer to your questions about the look of the links, you want the links in the text. It's called contextual links, they are links within the text and they appear more natural to google.

Thank you all for the great advice! This has helped me tremendously. I'm going to spend the next 30 days with a goal of 1800 article submissions with only 3 signature links that are related to the articles. I'm also going change up a sentence or two in each submission.

180 articles x 10 sites from this list (http://www.vretoolbar.com/articles/directories.php) trying to use all PR4 or higher w/ 3 links to various sites I own. I think this would go a long way toward building link values to my sites.

After 30 days I'll review what I've learned and come up with a game plan for the second month.

You should not use the same order of links and identical anchor text in each one. Google will see that this is artificial and devalue them. Instaed you should vary the order and anchor text so it will look more natural.

http://www.ezinearticles.com I've written and posted over 500 high quality articles and personally, I would only use ezine articles. It gives the best traffic and good quality backlinks. There are loads more out there and there is nothing wrong with using them but just don't expect much from them!

So anchor text is the part where I put my links... correct... and you all are saying I need to change it up every so often or Google will over look it... is that correct?

So changing the order.. the appearance.. and even the actual site I link to would be recommended?

WOW... this keeps getting harder and harder.... oh well it needs to be done
