I’ve never tried to do anything with my youtube account before so, I’m sure there are people who can help you with this more than I can. Yet, for what it’s worth… First, sign into your account. Then, click on “My Channel” in the drop down menu (top right, next to your avatar and user name). Next, you can click on the blue box near the center of the screen that says “Add channel art”. From there, click “How to create channel art” at the bottom of the page. This will open a support page. Here, I think they have what you’re looking for. I didn’t see much on “how to change colors”, but whatever image you use can be modified in photoshop, gimp, etc.… Like I said, I’ve never worked with youtube’s account settings before, until today. If that doesn’t work, you can try reposting your question in the "General Chat" section. You’ll probably get a better response.
