Pyramidlinking.com is dead yet?

It's been a while since I haven't read about pyramid linking. I've been one of the first to join this "program" and yet, since the transfer of ownership, nothing as ameliorated. People are angry at things not working, links not being shown, forums being empty and not administrated properly. Is it a joke?

A good idea wasted like that, that's a shame in my opinion. The name was maybe not a good idea, but the concept was great. Question is will the admin take care of the crap he just did or will someone else write a script like it from scratch and we'll all say good bye to old pyramid linking?

Well, if no action is taken in the next few week, I'll start writing that up with a co-programmer. It'll be up soon and we'll make sure EVERYTHING runs flawlessly and that no one doesn't get what is due to him.

Why was it destined to fail? When I owned the site it got over 1,000 registered users in about 5 weeks. Not many sites can say that.

Even if the original idea needed some adjusting if you have a loyal user base that size it should not be too hard to move the site in the right direction and build on the initial success. The main problem I had was creating a 100% bombproof method of verifying the links were in place automatically.

Its a shame I didn't have the time to take the idea forward myself.

Seems dead to me. I started a campaign at the beginning of April. 3 backlinks showed by mid-April but two of them were bogus. No change since then.

Agreed on the quote...That being said, there is no question a true triangle system was destined for failure BUT the new owner got tons of suggestions (Many from Mad4 himself) which could have really grown the model and made it a long term success.

I ended up removing the code when the new changes didn't materialize though.

It started off fine, links were building up. Then when it changed hands it just became a total waste of space, I posted a question in the forum and bumped it 3 0r 4 times and still nobody replied.

In the end I just deleted the links I had added and hav'nt looked at the site since, I'd bet money that they still havent replied to my question!!!

I thought it was an excellent idea - but only cos I was one of the first to sign up which meant I benefited from plenty of links as the base of the pyramid. Shame it's gone :(

According to the current owner plenty of people are still using it.

Plenty is quite vague in my opinion... The service in itself started to desintegrate, yet I'm surprised that the list of links I have in my campaign are valid :)

Probably only till they have a problem and try to get a response, when you realise they don't reply to posts in their own forum you soon lose faith in the system.

I checked it out and it needed a lot of work. I love the concept, but usually I didn't get as many links back as I put in. Links took too long to be pointed to my site. It really is a shame. I'm not the only one who had these problems. A buddy of mine tried it too and he had the same problems. Even if you add links yourself, you don't end up getting all the links back yourself. If it worked well it'd be great, but sadly it just doesn't.
