www.pyramidlinking.com is for sale by auction in this thread. There is a reserve and I will not sell the site unless it reaches the reserve. The auction will end on 10th April 2006 at 21.00 GMT.

Why am I selling?
The site has got much bigger than I anticipated and due to various other business and personal commitments I am not able to devote the time required to updating and improving the site. The last thing I want is to neglect the site and for it to suffer because it was not promoted or supported enough. My priority from the start was to help people build links and it’s now apparent that I don’t have time to do this site justice. Hopefully everyone will appreciate my reasons for selling and realise that if a new owner can be found it will be in the best interests of the site.

What needs doing?
The best thing is to read the comments made in this thread. There is probably a few days coding required to complete the features currently on the ‘to do’ list.

Day to day you will need to approve the payments for paid links when they are paid by paypal and also answer support emails when they arrive. The site has quite a good FAQ section so this keeps queries to 2 or 3 every day.

Current stats
The current stats since the site was announced in this forum on the 8th March are as follows:

• 500 users
• 1,050 campaigns
• 35,000 page views

How does the site make money?
Revenue is earned by selling links to webmasters who want to join the program but do not wish to offer link space on their sites. Since launch the site has sold just over $500 worth of links. Payments are made using paypal.

What if the site doesn’t sell?
In the event the site doesn’t sell I will employ a couple of people to do certain admin, marketing and coding tasks to make my job easier. This will help the site grow and hopefully improve the project further.

How much $ do you want start with?

 

Any bids will be considered but you should bear in mind the $500 made in the first few weeks is pure profit as there are no running costs.

 

Interesting, who did the programming ?

 

I did the design and programming. The buyer will get as much help as they need to understand how the site and scripts work.

 

What technology is used to run it? OS? Web Server? Scripting Language+version? DB+version? etc.

 

Scripts are all standard php with MySQL database.

There are no special hosting requirements and its not on a dedicated server or anything fancy.

For anybody interested pyramidlinking.com is now PR5 across all datacenters. We are in the middle of an update though so whether this will remain I can't say.

Having looked at the PR5 and analyzed the 1600 MSN backlinks I thought I should point out that all the links to the site are natural and will remain in place after the sale.

This includes the link in my signature at DP which I will leave for the remainder of 2006 if you want me to.

 

A couple of people have asked for screenshots of the stats and the paypal account. PM me if you would like to see these.

Having done the screenshots I see that the actual revenue was $550 to date and there is another $50 order which has come in this afternoon making $600 in total.
