Pyramid Linking - a new way to build static, one way links for free

I am about to launch a free tool called www.pyramidlinking.com and would like to introduce the site to DP members beforehand.

Firstly the site is NOT like the co-op or Link Vault schemes, it is simply intended to help you build on and compliment your existing links page.

When you register with the site we suggest a number of sites for you to link to. If you choose to link to these sites we will give you double the number of links in return. All the links you gain will be of the same or higher PR than the links you give and every link is a plain html link with no footprint. All the links are categorized and geo-targeted to ensure they are relevant.

Because there are no scripts to install we leave it up to each webmaster to make the final decision on which sites they link to.

We are also running a referral bonus system giving a bonus 5 links to each user you refer.

For example if you add 10 suggested links to your PR3 links page we will give 20 links on PR3 pages and above. If you refer 5 new users you get another 25 links as a bonus.

At present there are no sites in the database so if you register early we will not be able to suggest any sites for you to link to. This means you get 30 links without having to do anything in return.

I tried it at first, pretty good idea. Here is my comments.

1. You should have validate e-mail after signed up.
2. Tools is great and work perfectly to calculate PR passed through (Backlink Analyzer)

The rest is to wait for more member to join and link exchange will begin.

Clearly the whole thing relies on other users signing up after you but with the promotional and link baiting methods I have in mind I anticipate a good response.

Hopefully if a few popular blogs/sites sign up to the referral program it will take off pretty quick.

Email validation and automated sign up protection will be implemented soon.

 

However, I wonder how accurate of "Backlink Analyzer" tool provided by your services. It's look pretty good to report amount of PR passed through backlink (Google based I think) but I summed up and results is 5.77!! Woww My site got only PR4 for latest update. You made me a sweetdream. Is it true?

The PR added up by the tool is actual PR, this is not to be confused with the toolbar PR which google shows.

Toolbar PR is a kind of normalized figure to illustrate PR on an easy to understand scale of 0-10.

Actual PR is a logarithmic scale and ranges far higher than 10.

The calculations I use are simplified but are based purely on the original google PR paper so without knowing internal google secrets its as accurrate as you can get.

 

This sounds like a great idea, think I will sign up and give it a shot. A suggestion, maybe you should change the get started to register or have a register link at the forgotten password area?

Really good idea, maybe the categories could be a bit broader though with sub cats perhaps ?

 

For the moment I have kept the category structure quite simple to make sure people can build links quickly.
As more users join up I can narrow the categories down a bit to make the links more targetted.

 

I signed up and created three campaigns. I'll be looking forward to seeing the results.

One question I have - after validation, what if someone removes my link? Do you auto check every so often or something?

When you have created your campaign you can wait a few days and log back in to see which sites have placed your links (under the My Campaigns section). As the site is new it will take some time to get all the links you are allowed but the more people that sign up the quicker it will be!

We have a spider script that visits all the pages to check the links remain in place on a regular basis (check your logs for the Pyramid Linking Bot) and we are also going to visit the google cached version of the pages (if its available) to check this as well.

If links are missing from your site it triggers a manual visit and we email you to find out what the problem is.

For everyone with a campaign so far make sure you use your referrer links to sign up new users - you get 5 links as a bonus but more importantly the quicker the site takes off the quicker you get your links.

Anyone with a blog or signature space here is your chance to make good use of it.

 

Once you add a campaign, how do you edit it to be able to show more links? Or get more links to show?
