Puzzled by this Odd Kind of Link

Today I was looking at Yahoo Site Explorer's list of links to my site, and noticed several links from pages labeled rss.php. These links come from directories that I have submitted my site to. When I click on one of them, I see something that looks like a text file. Here is an example:

    http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=Ap1iWu2aZzRAPB0ALIz6UVXbl8kF/SIG=118mr55h6/**http://www.codot.net/rss.php?c=71

On these pages I can see some URLs, but I don't see any normal "a href" type links. I know this involves RSS feeds, but have never used them.

My question is-- are these real links. And if so, why aren't they in the normal "a href" format?

    Thank you
