    Hi,

is it illegal to put graphics or images from wikipedia on one's own website? As it says on the button of the page of the image:
I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby publish it under the following licenses:
Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation license, Version 1.2 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts. A copy of the license is included in the section entitled "GNU Free Documentation license".

I got this from this link

I do not really get the text, have trouble understanding it neither do I understand the GNU.
So maybe you can help :p

    Thank you

You can use images from wikipedia if they fall under that license. You must also make the image available under that license though.

You need to refer to the actual terms of the specific image. Not all images can be used.
