Putting music on website?

    I didn't find any law for India that specifically mentioned websites, but restaurants, hotels and other retail establishments are required to pay royalyies to the IPRS. So it is likely that it would apply to websites, particullarly if they are for profit sites or have ads. The only thing I could find about enforcement was from 2000 though and it seems the IPRS was having problems collecting at that time. They were legally entitled but hotels and restaurants were refusing to pay. I don't know what happened after that.

    I found somewhere that streaming music is OK in India. You should not let visitors to download music.

    If this was the case which I doubt couldnt I from UK store the music on a server in India and play it on my site.
