Putting music on my site

So, I am making a website for a local band and would like to feature their music on the website. How can I put the music on the website so people can play it but not download it?

Note: Please don't tell me that it's impossible and people can do it no matter what. I know this, I'm not stupid.. just tell me how I can get it so people can't just click on it and download it.

you can do it easy..there are lots of free web players out there. Just google web player or something like that.
Put if your visitor goes to another page on the bands site the music will stop. I think there might be some player that work even if you change pages. But i did so that i put the player inside a popup window so it wont stop if you change pages. http://epareiluevoluutio.com/ See for yourself.

    Try googling

Ah, I like that. Mind sharing what web player you're using?

if you just embed the sound

and make it invisible, it will play in the backgroud

Yeah but I'm going to have 5 or 6 songs on the site, so they can't all play in the background. And besides, all you have to do is go into the source code and get the music file from there.

You got no choice. Lets say it's possible to make it not downloadable, You still have a very big problem on how to make it not recordable

    Dear desertst0rm,
The very reason I put the 'Note' on my post, was so people wouldn't make posts saying exactly what you just said. I KNOW that anyone can get an mp3 off the internet no matter what, as I plainly stated. I simply wanted a player in which they wouldn't be able to get it very simply. (Like right click and download it).

I ended up going with xspf player by the way, thanks for your help guys.

xspf is pretty good, I'd recommend it.

Please don't. If I go to a website that has automatic sound that I can't control, I leave as soon as possible.
