I don't remember the website name. That website has only links from Yahoo Group and they are in good position for their keyword.
i think it would help that much really... legitimate link building is still the best strategy here. yahoo wont give you that much juice either.
I have read that yahoo groups are clearing all the spam and unnecessary linking in its website . Also they are reducing the points of the users who are found doing this .
The links won't help since they are nofollow. You shouldn't gain links by spamming in the first place.
Regardless that the links are nofollow, posting links like this in relevant context, on highly-indexed sites IS beneficial, as it brings the bot back to your site. Every now and again I edit a lot of my old content, post some links (dofollow, nofollow) and watch my site climb – because the bots are back rediscovering my masses of content. That's why my site is on the second page for a competitive keyword and with only 800 incoming links.
I don't think going to affect at all because they are nofollow..the only positive is you can get some visitors
If its no follow, you will not get any help. First checkl with the group owner and then check if its Dofollow or Nofollow link....
first of all you should check the links.that will be great help for you.maybe keywords will help you.
Problem with links in Yahoo Groups and they can be deleted by owners so waste of time unless is a group the owner or moderators do not longer care to check or they do welcome links in messages
it might not affect the PR but it will surely affect your visitors if u post relative links in correct sections!!!
