    If the URL page has a PR it will give some juice to yours..I can't remember if URL in the links section of groups are dofollow or not..if they are nofollow not only will you not get juice from them, they won't help you in the SERPS at all..

    Link spamming on yahoo groups is the oldest trick in the book. I don't think it works anymore.

    I think all group links are No follow. So it will not help you to increase your pagerank.

    Download the NoDoFollow plugin for firefox... check if the links are nofollow.... if they're not, your pagerank will be positively effected. if they are, there is no benefit - though you may get a few backlinks to count towards other SE's...

    Pink = no go for google
    Blue = hooah!

    Yahoo group is no follow, so there is no advantage in PR juice in google. But yes one backlink in yahoo and traffic if the group is in search with some of popular keywords.
