I'm very new to link building so this may sound like a real stinker of an idea but i'd appreciate some thoughts on this, so here goes - Having obtained links to your site would it be a good idea to set up a Directory under your current brand name and display all the links there? Basically my thinking behind this idea is that your site can have all inbound links and if a reciprocal link is required you can link back through the Directory. So this way your site keeps all the ranking points from inbound links. I'd heard that reciprocal linking is not the way forward so hopefully this would get round it. Is this a good idea?....or am i showing my inexperience and being naive?
The main glitch is a directory script might generate you alot of PR 0 pages, which many people will not want to be linked on. Some of them are prone to hacking to, and lets not forget the tons of spammers you have to delete constantly. Hand coding the directory solves those 2 problems, but is horribly time consuming.
Thanks for the advice. Sounds like if its something i want to pursue then i'm guna have to go after it in a big way. I think I know someone that can do the coding by hand so that shouldn't be much of a problem. But as you say its the time it would take. Thanks again Keep the advice coming people please.............
