Has anyone had any success in finding ways or people to invest in a good idea for a site? See ive been thinking all afternoon about this idea i had earlier today but at thee moment its just lacking funding. Anyone been in this situation before? Cause i also don't want to say what it is in fear that the plan might get stolen, i have also checked to see if anyone else has done it on google and it seems its unique Im just lost in what to do. Anyone been in this situation and has some advice?
If you believe in the idea and can convince others it has a high chance of working with you at the helm, you should be able to find funding. I would write up your plan - expenses (fetch quotes from programmers/designers or whomever), hosting costs etc, then detail your experience and provide as much proof as possible that it will work and the investers will see a return on their investment. Also provide details of marketing/promotional costs, how it will generate revenue and predict the best you are able to. Plot how the project will grow, potential areas for expansion and if the time came, a get out strategy such as selling it (may help provide a safe-guard for potential investors to know you are willing to sell it if needed to re-coup their investment if things aren't going too well. You could post your proposal on here but be wary of people who just want to rip your idea - make sure you know they're serious about investing and don't give the specifics out to any old tom, dick or harry.
