I have recently developed a few freeware tools and was wondering if your allowed to put your adsense code within the actual programs or if this was against google's tos?

From the Google terms: ""A site or third party cannot display our ads, search box, search results, or referral buttons as a result of the actions of any software application such as a toolbar.""

without knowing how you are going to use it, its really hard to give opinion. If you are providing games (for e.x) then you can put adsense code around them. Its OK. But not sure about putting the code within the tool.
