Putting Ads in a WP Theme

    Can anyone point me to a tutorial for dummies or help me figure out how to put ads on my blog? The theme has 3 featured areas built in, but from what I can tell they have to be static images you host.

    I need to put in linked images from affiliate programs. bestvacationplaces.info is the site... those three ad blocks on the top right.

    Go to sidebar.php in content/themes/your_custom_themes folder and search for this image coding.

    I found the file already... it's actually lfeaturedside or something like that. But I don't know php and when I change it to what seems like what would make sense (to me), it does nothing. It doesn't mess it up, but it acts like I did nothing to it. :D
